i am sharing 3 ways you can get to know your kids better.
#1. dads, building relationships with your children takes time.
this father excels at spending quality time with his children. both enjoy soccer and playing with the family dog.
lots of great suggestions for new dads on this video to help with a newborn. supporting the new mom by taking the baby for a bit. diaper changes, bottle feeding, burping,cooking, and dishes, are a few ideas off the top of my head for getting to know your new baby and helping mom. way to go dads!
i share lots of tips for bonding with your baby here. my favorite idea is reading to your baby. you can read anything with enthusiasm when they are little and they will love hearing your voice.
here is a dad support group that will help answer questions and build friendships with other dads.
#2. to the papas, ask kids what they would like to do and then do that whenever possible.
this dad is amazing at discovering what his kids like and then spending time doing just that! two favorite activites: building legos and star wars movies.
#3. fathers, share your interests with your kids.
